I do not have a video at this time. But Repeat Crafter Me has a great owl in a granny square pattern. http://www.repeatcrafterme.com/2012/11/owl-granny-square-crochet-pattern.html

I have a question on the pattern for Trees Go Round. Do I need to slip stitch the ring together and chain one on each round? It doesn’t say to but wasn’t sure.
Thank you,
Debby

I’m not sure if I understand the question, can you clarify. I believe you are asking me do you sl st each round together at the end? yes you do. Are you asking about the ch for the tree portion of the hat or the body portion?

Can you explain (in words is okay, video not necessary) if there are tips for translating your seamless round to single crochet? I feel like I’m doing something wrong…

Reply

Lorene March 7, 2014 at 8:57 pm

for seamless rounds in sc I just sc in every st and sl st into the first sc to join round. You can do a ch1 first if you like and then skip over it when you join, or you can just sc into the first st and work all the way around, sl st into the first sc to join. My seamless method really only works with hdc and dc

I think I understand your method to change colors seamlessly but when you have the time can you do a video of your work? Curious what to do with the ends of both the previous and new colors. Do you have to tie them or just weave them in your work?

Sorry, I don’t know what I did to post my question 3 times :) Wanted to say I have enjoyed your patterns and videos. Well done!

I do plan on doing a color change video for the seamless rounds… time has been so tight lately, and my youngest doesn’t nap anymore… that used to be my only filming time. Depending on the project I either stitch over the tails part way and then weave them in the opposite direction. Or if it is an item that will be worn and washed a lot I may tie them together and then stitch over them.

I have this yarn by Loops and Threads called Radiant….I want to crochet this scarf but need a video…can you help me…they eyelet is really big…do you go in each eyelet since the holes are so big or do you skip everyone like you do with Sashay yarn…

Lorene April 9, 2014 at 6:07 pm

I have a video for sashay yarn only at this time… I would probably go in each hole for the yarn from Hobby Lobby.

I started on your free pattern “My Sunshine Lovey” and find that per instructions I keep ending up with a round type of granny. I can’t figure out why. I do understand you’ll have more patterns with this grannybut maybe a video is helpful too. I usually can figure pattern out by looking at it but I can’t see the first granny to compare to mine. It may be that I’m not understanding the increases. Are you increasing the amounts of dc in each sh as you go up each round? I’ve worked w/sh w/3,4, &5 dc in each sh, but never just 2. This is a very nice change and I love the look of the blanket. I hope I’ve explained well enough for you to understand my problem.. I had hoped to make & give blanket for my niece’s new baby.. Thank you for your time and I’m grateful for this beautiful pattern.

There aren’t any shells that only have 2dc. The regular shells are [2dc. Ch2. 2dc], which is 6sts total. The Increase shells (used in every corner) are [2dc. Ch2. 2dc. Ch3. 2dc. Ch2. 2dc].

I have added a diagram of the stitches to the pattern so that it makes more sense hopefully. I would recommend reading the notes and abbreviations over again to make sure you understand them as well.

I will eventually be adding a video for this design but unfortunately it won’t be for a while yet (I’ve got a few weeks left in my pregnancy and it will be a little while before I am able to resume filming)

Right now my video filming is on hold due to the fact that I’m having a baby next week… but I will be adding one eventually. In the meantime I’d recommend searching youtube. Good luck.

Child’s Chevron Dress pattern. Have you heard from others having trouble with counts? Think this is a sweet item but am perplexed. I am wanting to make size 6. Round 2 calls for hdc in 24 then 2 and 24 then 2 which would be 52 total but it lists total should be 60. ??? Surely I am missing something. Can you help me? Thank you very much

Lorene September 6, 2014 at 9:59 am

I’m sorry, all patterns produced for RH are edited and changed by tech editors. do 1hdc in every 11sts then 2hdc in next st to get to 60sts for round 2
