Shares her amazing Cables of Love Leg Warmers
I love meeting new friends who share the same interests as I do. I’ve met quite a few people whom I have really hit it off with. One of those people is BreeAnna of String with Style.
BreeAnna is new to the blogging world, but not new to crochet. BreeAnna and I met through a fb group we both belong to, she was looking for some advice on her blog and I answered a few of her questions… since then we have become good friends.
I think she is honestly one of the most talented crocheters that I know. This latest pattern may be my favorite. I am excited to share her Cables of Love Leg Warmers.
These super fashionable leg warmers are different than any I have ever seen before. I think I need to buy a new outfit so that I can make a matching set for myself. I hope you enjoy this free crochet pattern by String With Style.
Let’s get to know a little bit about BreeAnna
How long have you been crocheting?
I have been crocheting since I was ten, so that makes almost 20 years.
How long have you been blogging?
I opened my blog a year ago but have really been putting effort into it the last three months.
What are your favorite items to make?
The easiest answer is EVERYTHING! I am always looking for something new to make. I have a little crochet ADD that way. I love a new challenge and usually have at least 3 projects going.
What is your favorite thing about crocheting and or blogging?
My favorite thing about crochet is that is allows me to escape and relax. I tend to not yell at my kids as much if I get a little hook time in. I love that I start with just yarn and a hook and am able to turn it into something AMAZING! Plus it is so easy to take along with you ANYWHERE! I started blogging because I wanted to share my passion with others. Crochet is so freeing for me and I wanted others to love and experience it as well. I think my favorite part about blogging is hearing back from my readers. It is, of course, always nice to hear compliments but I also love trying to helps someone when they are struggling or just learning.
What are your favorite yarns (brands or types) to work with?
I like different yarns for different things. I really enjoy working with Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn or Caron One Pound for afghans, or scarves. Cotton is amazing for summer time dresses, hats or bathroom/kitchen items (and it is soooo soft!) I LOVE the intricate patterns and designs that come when you work with thread. I’m all over the map!
What was your inspiration for your pattern?
I was inspired by the new vinage looking nylons that are coming back into style with the seam up the back. I wanted to do something that said – SEXY! I’ve loved corset style things ever since I was a little girl and dreamed of being a Southern Belle. I couldn’t be happier about how these came together. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do!
Tell me a little something about your personal life… kids, family, pets, etc.
I am married to the love of my life! He is amazing! So supportive of all my yarn craziness and very understanding of the fact that the dishes or laundry never seem to be done! I have two little girls 3 and 1. They are usually my models and I love them to pieces! They make my day – EVERYDAY – with their hugs, kisses and smiles. We live in the middle of an alfalfa (hay) field. My husband is a farmer and sometimes spends long hours in a tractor. The girls and I love to go ride with him when we can. We feel so blessed to have the life we do. My girls love to go ride in the truck or tractor with their dad and of course the occasional horsey rides, what farm would be complete without that? We have a short hair border collie named Patch and until we are blessed with another little one, that rounds out our family!
